We go to the BEST gymnastics place in town. The two couch are AMAZING! The still my girls have learned have been worth every penny. Madison is fanatics and I bet will be doing handsprings very soon. Ruthie has perfected her cartwheel and fast forward roll. Reagan as mastered her pull over! I’m so proud of my girls!!

I am reminded today that our days on earth are numbered.   I lost a friend, Grayce Schiller today. My mind hasn’t fully grasped it yet.  Its unreal to me. My heart breaks for her children and for Tim. I just can’t imagine how they’ll pull through the next few weeks.

As I sat and thought about all of this I recall a Christmas card I got several years back. Friends of mine had lost their son tragically. He was playing outside with family and an instant later had died. Just like that. Their Christmas card was amazing. The strength that God had given then to move forward it was astounding. It said “You give and take away, My heart will choice to say, Lord blessed be your name.”

So I take this moment in my life, to reengage with my children. To act as if there will be no tomorrow. To take every moment and tell my children that I love them, God loves them, and he sent his son to DIE for US! So that WE may live forever.

Every blessing You pour out I’ll turn back to praise
And when the darkness closes in, Lord

Mitchell has REALLY come a long way this year in sports. I missed a game last weekend where I’m told he played AWESOMELY. He did it again tonight! I’m soo proud of him! The best part is watching him with his friends work hard together for their team to win! I love seeing their confidences grow!

Good grief, I need to dust off my blog and get moving already! Why is this so hard for me to do?! i promise to have good writings this week. Matt will be here all week with me and Madison has the stomach flu. So I should have some good material.

Tonight my girls had gymnastics. They do so awesome. I’m sitting with two friends and my parents (their my friends too, honest) watching the girls do their things. They rocked tonight. I’m so proud of how far they’ve come in a short months time. We sat watching them try while holding on to the bar flip their legs up over the bar and do a backwards flip. They all struggled. Even the best girl in their class had trouble. I kept thinking, could it be that difficult?  It seemed like it would be easy to me.

So, my friend Trisha said its like a pull up, looks easy but its hard. I said, pull ups aren’t hard. She insisted they were.  So, I said I can do them. Maybe 5 or so. She says if you can do 5 I’ll give you $20. .. hmmm, a challenge. could it really be as hard as she thinks? I mean she works out almost everyday. Really workouts with weights and stuff! Maybe I’m wrong and it is hard.. So after the class finished I asked if I could try and do a pull up.

I did it ! Not only did I do one but I  did two!!! I’m so proud of myself.

She challenged me to 5 pull ups by the end of the year. I told her I could do it in 2 weeks. Am I in trouble?!

My Ruthie goes by the book. If there are rules/guidelines on doing something she follows them to a T. No straying, if you try she’ll bust ya.

So, we’re trick or treating last night.  She needs to take a potty break at a neighbors house. The other kiddos take off with other nieghbors and run ahead.

Matt and I hang back with Ruthie. The first house we hit the guy comes to the door.

She says “trick or treat”.

He says “Happy Halloween” dropping the candy in her bucket.

She says “um, you’re supposed to see my trick first”.

She’s the bestest.

I guess I earned a new job title. sigh.

You heard it right, I’m soo outta here. When I tried to cancel our Chicago trip  I found out our Hotel room wouldn’t be refunded. So We’ve decided quite last minute that Matt and I are still going! So tomorrow after putting the kids on the bus, we’re hitting the skies to fly to Chicago! I’m so excited! I’ve have the BEST parents in the whole world.  They are willing to come take care of my “hopefully” fully recovered children. I’m soo THANKFUL!! I promise to bring back good stories and fun pictures!

This trip I blogged about here is officially canceled.  H1N1 has officially won over my household. 3 of my 4 kids have either had it or have it now. The odds of my last kiddo getting it next week is too great for me to keep the trip booked. Also, I’m scared to go the Chicago and get sick myself.

Thankfully I have insurance on the flight. I’m hoping I can work out a deal with the hotel, I booked through Priceline, and reschedule for early Nov. I’m just so bummed!
